Katharina Powers (Director): Having grown up surrounded by fine art, Katharina Powers arrived in the Bay Area in 2012 following the sale of the 200-person-strong company she founded and ran in Germany and Switzerland. At Art Ventures Katharina will serve as gatekeeper, curator, and bridge that spans the connection between visiting artists and their audience. Katharina studied law in Germany and the US , and earned a PhD from the Max Planck Institute for International Intellectual Property and Copyright Law.
